A poem bout someone close to me

Not sure if u can really call it a poem..dunno what else to call it tho..Anyways, thought i'd share..feel free to leave a comment;)

I just feel, I just know, my heart tells me,
You never tried, not really.
Now it shows, more every day.
I talk and you hear something else,
Never truly on the same page.
A shame really, it could’ve been otherwise.
We live, it seems, completely different lives.
Sometimes though, I find you in myself,
How I talk, express myself.
It hurts, I don’t want to be like you.
You being like you,
Damaged us both.
