Wow Ma..lucky you! Let me tell you...it was FREEZING cold the 4 hrs they made us wait in line. It was ridiculous. Then another hr and a half once we got in. GC didn't even play an hr long. It think they cut them off...but Joel was talking alot. And even tho I didn't get passes...I met them for the 3rd time afterward. And got to take pics. You should have done both.

Well, in the end, I ended up winning a total of 8 tickets to this concert --including 2 for a backstage meet & greet which I won yesterday morning.

We got to skip the line--which was 3 blocks long and growing-when we got there and go right to the front. My daughter and I were among the first 6 let in. They took us to their "backstage" area (actually a closed off area upstairs). While waiting, Benji Madden came strolling by and I thought my daughter was going to fall out of her chair when he did. They took pictures of us with the band but none of us were allowed to take photos. The Madden brothers (Joel & Benji) are very nice. Benji had a short conversation with my daughter so she was in heaven. I emailed Samsung about the photos they took and they said they will email it to me be Friday.

The concert was good and parts of it were taped for Jimmy Kimmel live. They told us right before they taped that part for the show. You have to wonder how "live" that show is since the concert was on Tuesday and the footage won't air until Friday.

Was a nice experience. I felt bad for the promotion people there. Everybody was on a "list" so checking in took a long time as they had to check id's and then stamp everyones hand who was over 21. Also, no problem with people under 18 getting in. They had an "official" photographer there and some of his pics are posted at http://www.wireimage.com/ItemListings.aspx?igi=328843&nbc1=1

Today the radio station gave us Meet & Greet passes! Will let you know how it goes. Oh, someone had asked before how many people The Fillmore holds--it is 1,250.

yea...i was talkin the email ones. i think i was one of the first to have gotten the tickets. i got mines yesterday.
so it is general admission...but i wonder what time i should get in line at. that would SO suck ass if the ppl in that line got denied. i don't think its a stand by line...i think they must have given out a number of tickets to radio stations and kept some to give out as well..

The Fillmore is a General Admission theater so you would be standing.
We were on the standby list and just got that email for tickets today. We had already won 2 hard tickets from 106.5. So now we can bring some friends!

Oh--by the way, the standby tickets that came via email today do not mention the age limit.

I think they randomly picked ppl to go. Cuz I know someone who put her name on the list before I did and hasn't recieved anything.
I'm wondering if this is gonna be one of those events where its just the twins and a acoustic set, where we sit in seats, or if its gonna be a full on GC event where we all stand.
I wonder this cuz in the email it says it doesn't guerentee us a spot, cuz its first come first serve. So how many tickets have been given out over the radio? And how many more did they dispurse to us?
I'm not about ready to drive 5hrs and get turned away...pfft
